The Nestlé Institute of Health Sciences (NIHS) has a team of scientists hard at workdeveloping food products that will exercise your muscles for you.
By manipulating the molecule that activates AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK), the process by which muscle glucose and fat is converted into energy, this “metabolic master switch” has shown to active “through muscle stimulation, or exercise”.
The research shows that “activators of AMPK” can provide desirable therapeutic effects in patients with metabolic disorders like Type 2 diabetes or in those unable to exercise due to old age or disability.”

Kei Sakamoto, lead author of the study said : “The enzyme can help people who can’t tolerate or continue rigorous exercise. Instead of 20 minutes of jogging or 40 minutes of cycling, it may boost the metabolism with moderate exercise like brisk walking.”
Ed Baetge, head of the NIHS remarked: “[These] new dietary approaches with targeted effects on the body that, like exercise, could help in addressing metabolic problems and maintaining a healthy energy balance.”
Findings of the MKGI report included:

Obesity costs 2.8% of the global GDP due to health issue
Obese people are constantly sick and do not work efficiently
Being overweight drains energy and causes “discomfort, headaches, high blood pressure and breathing problems” that contribute to decline in productivity
Nutritionist Alison Tedstone commented: “If we reduce obesity to 1993 levels, where 15 percent of the population were obese, we will avoid five million disease cases.”
The RAND Corporation and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign concluded that that major causes of obesity are:

Genes
• Behaviors
• Fast food
• Cars
• Television
• Modern electronic devices
• Vending machines
• Residential housing
• Serving sizes
The strongest association tied to obesity, according to the study, is the availability of inexpensive food
